Is the excitement of this week’s WC3L or NGL league play not enough to satisfy your Warcraft watching needs? If you’re itching for more then you’re in luck. This weekend, DigitalLife is hosting the offline finals of its Warcraft III ladder and there’s more than enough talent competing to provide you with what you need. The offline tournament is part of DigitalLife’s $100,000 Pro-Am taking place between the 27th and 30th in New York City at Web2Zone.

Attending and composing the top five positions of the online ladder, in order here from 1st-5th, are: Check, Winners, Sonkie, HolyHuman and Longwalk. Check and Winners actually finished the season tied for first place, so they each have something to prove coming into the finals.

As if that lineup wasn’t enough to peak your interest, Moon and Sweet have been invited from the top two positions of the DigitalLife tournament in Chengdu, China. Both of these players are absolute legends, especially when playing offline and it would be no surprise to see them once again in the top two positions.

The favourites to win here are certainly the two Korean invites. It would be a huge surprise to not have at least Sweet or Moon in the final two (that is, if they show up).

Jung Hee "Sweet" Chun
Sweet is a powerhouse when it comes to offline play. He is always dangerous and always a contender. The Undead player is a common sight in the closing rounds of many large tournaments and cannot be forgotten.

It definitely depends on who he runs into in the early rounds, but being the only Undead in this group will allow him to use every advantage this versatile race offers against his Night Elf and Human competition.

Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous offline tournaments so this one would be no different. Aside from multiple Blizzard Invitationals, he also participated in events such as WSVG and WEG. Sweet is a hardened veteran to LAN events, and he this is familiar territory.

Jae Ho "Moon" Jang
Along with Sweet, these two represent Korea’s best. Together they combine to form "Grubby’s Bane," the most devastating Orc destroying weapon known to Warcraft. Seriously though, if you don't know who Moon is, you’ve been living under a rock, or at least not paying even the slightest bit of attention to the Warcraft III community.

If you need a quick refresher course; Moon in considered the highest paid Warcraft III player along with earning the most in prize money. This year alone, he managed to make at least 40,000$ with his domination of the Korean Warcraft World War League.

Nikolaus "SonKiE" Cassidy
Personally, I see SonKiE as one of the most surprising players in all of Warcraft. I remember his Mountain King causing many an upset back in the day and his often unorthodox strategies are not to be taken lightly.

He's come a long way since then, competing in the WC3L for many seasons. Underestimating SonKiE could mean the worst for anyone in this tournament, and that will be one of this human player's greatest assets going into this event.

A disappointing early exit at the WCG USA Finals will only further his motivation for Digital Life. SonKiE has talent, but sometimes buckles under pressure. This will be another opportunity for this Human player to show what he's got, and hopefully get taken into a new team.

Phil "LongWalk" Crawford
If you have been paying attention to online league play, you know that LongWalk is gaining popularity as one of the most exciting players in Warcraft. He is one of my favourite players to watch lately, and I doubt he will disappoint this weekend.

Recently in NGL he stopped Grubby from sweeping mTw and considering his competition, beating Grubby is almost a prerequisite for victory here. Longwalk also will represent the United States for the World Cyber Games following this competition for the first time, defeating favorite Nilknarf in the Grand Finals.

LongWalk isn't as popular as the rest due to his lack of exposure, but this might be his breakout year. Expect Longwalk to have practiced long and hard prior to this event. Back to back LAN tournaments (Digital Life and then the WCG over the course of 1 week) should give him more of an edge in the competition.
