Just as background information: When did you join the team of MeetYourMakers, and how did you get in contact with them?
언제, 어떻게 MYM에 들어오게 되었나요?

It was about 2 years ago: Army had just arrived in Korea, where I got the contract. This had been before Susi and GoStop had already played for MYM, and then Susi told me that I have to play for MYM. And here I am...: D
약 2년 전이었던 것 같습니다. Army가 한국에 와서 저와 계약을 맺었죠. 오정기와 김동문이 이미 MYM에 있을 때였는데 오정기가 저에게 너는 꼭 MYM에 와야된다고 하더군요. 그래서 MYM에 왔죠... :D



The main topic for the last few weeks of the MYM community was your bad result at the current WC3L season. What do you think went wrong in your performance?
지난 몇 주간 MYM 커뮤니티의 화제는 당신의 WC3L에서의 부진이었는데, 이 부진에 대해 어떻게 생각하세요?

Previously you were 2nd place at the Battle.net Season 4 Finals and also you lead MYM to 2nd place at the WC3L Season X Finals. Did anything change afterwards, like losing some motivation?
예전 Battle.net 시즌 4 결승전에서 준우승하셨고 WC3L 시즌 10에서 MYM을 2위로 이끌었는데, 그 뒤로 뭔가 변한게 있나요? 예를 들면 의욕이 떨어졌다든가..


Hm, maybe… nah, players sometimes win, and sometimes lose. Anyways, I promise I will be back guys -.- Just observe the upcoming WC3L finals!

Yes, as you just mentioned, MYM and you reached the WC3L Finals again. Who is your favourite team to win this title this time, and where do you see MYM finishing this season?
네, 방금 말하신대로 MYM은 WC3L 결승전에 다시 올라갔습니다. 이번에 승리를 따낼만한 선수는 누구이고, 루시퍼가 보기에 MYM은 이번 시즌에 몇위를 할 것 같으세요?


We will place #1 for sure. Moon and Susi are in very good shape right now, so I trust them to bring us the victory.
우리는 당연히 1위를 할겁니다. 장재호와 오정기가 지금 아주 좋은 모습을 보여주고 있고, 저는 그 둘이 저희에게 승리를 가져다줄거라고 믿어요.



And what about your shape right now? Do you think you can show good performances like at the last Seasons Finals?
현재 당신의 실력은 어느정도인 것 같습니까? 지난 시즌 결승전에서 보여준 것처럼 멋진 실력을 보여줄 수 있을까요?


I don’t really know, but I think I’m not in shape.
잘 모르겠어요. 지금은 제대로 된 상태가 아닌것 같아요.



But at the recent InCup #6 Spring Season, you were really unlucky by losing to Check in the Grand Final and just became second place. Wasn’t this tournament a kind of your comeback?
하지만 최근의 InCup #6 Spring 시즌에서 당신은 그랜드파이널에서 이형주에게 정말 안타깝게 져서 2위를 차지했습니다. 이게 실력을 회복했다는 증거가 아닐까요?


I don’t think that it showed my 100% skill. I need more training, as it’s not my best shape, like I played that day.
제 100% 실력을 발휘했다고 생각하지 않아요. 그렇기 때문에 연습이 더 필요합니다.


In the last NGL One Season you showed amazing 4:0 streaks vs. teams like SK Gaming and World Elite, and also some minor teams. Later MYM finished only second in the NGL One Finals. Was it embarrassing for you, or would you say that 2nd place is a great or expected result?
저번 NGL One에서 SK Gaming이나 World Elite같은 강팀과 여러 약팀에게 멋진 올킬을 해내셨는데도 MYM은 2위에 머무르고 말았습니다. 이 성적이 만족스러웠나요, 아니면 당황스러웠나요?

It’s not a good result from me -.- Moon and Susi did well, as well as focus. If I take just 1 point for the team it’s not satisfying and so it was just #2. I feel so sorry for my team mates.
그다지 만족할만한 성적이 아니죠 -.- 장재호, 오정기, 엄효섭 모두 잘해주었어요. 제가 1승만 거두고 물러난다면 저희 팀으로선 아쉬운 결과고 그래서 2위밖에 못한 것 같아요. 팀원들에게 미안합니다.

According to that point… What do you think about MYM’s newest additions YellOw and FoCuS?
YellOw(Yu BaoHui - 중국선수)와 FoCuS같은 MYM의 뉴비들에 대해 어떻게 생각하십니까?

They are very good players. I don’t want to say much about them, I just want to see them perform well for the team.
그들은 아주 좋은 선수들이에요. 그들에 대해 별로 이야기 하고 싶지가 않네요, 그냥 그들이 팀에서 잘해내는 것을 보고 싶어요.

YellOw didn't have the chance to play in the WC3L so far, and even in the Chinese Stars War Qualifier he had been defeated with losing every match. What can MYM and YellOw himself do to solve that problem?
YellOw는 WC3L에 한번도 출전하지 못했고 심지어 중국 Stars War 예선전에서도 전패로 탈락했습니다. MYM과 YellOw가 어떻게 해야 이 상황을 해결할 수 있을까요?

eSports scene


You just took part in the WSVG in Wuhan. Many players complained about the Double Elimination system that lead players to face each others twice. Will you share your opinion about that?
우한에서 열린 WSVG에 참가하셨었는데요, 많은 선수들이 같은 상대를 두번 만나게 한 더블엘리미네이션 시스템에 관해 불평을 했습니다. 같은 생각이십니까?


I don’t really care about it. It’s just so-so for me…
전 별로 관계없었어요. 그냥 그저 그랬죠...



And what did you think about your own results there?
WSVG에서 거둔 성적에 대해 어떻게 생각하세요?


hm… it’s kinda interesting. I lost but it didn’t feel that bad, as its giving me a lot of motivation.
흠... 재밌었죠. 지긴 했지만 그렇게 기분 나쁘지 않았고, 의욕이 많이 생겼어요.

Actually, there are many players from South Korea who move to China to “avoid” the Korean army and to improve their skills. Would you like to make this step as well, or are you satisfied with the Korean conditions?
한국의 많은 선수들이 병역을 피하고 실력을 향상시키기 위해 중국으로 진출하고 있습니다. 노재욱 선수도 중국으로 가고 싶은가요, 아니면 한국의 상황에 만족하고 있나요?

Maybe if I would have a chance to live in china, I would do that, but Korea also has some good conditions for players, so I would say 50% 50% for both.
만약 중국에서 살 기회가 생긴다면 그렇게 할거에요. 하지만 한국의 상황도 괜찮구요. 그래서 50대 50이라고 말씀드리고 싶네요.



In the last few weeks many rumors came up that international players like Deadman, RotterdaM and maybe even Grubby plan to move to Germany to attend the German EPS if they were able to qualify, and in the past we saw Zacard attending this as well. What do you think about that topic?
예전에 Zacard가 EPS에 참가한 것처럼 Deadman, RotterdaM, 심지어 Grubby와 같은 세계적인 선수들이 독일 EPS에 참가하기 위해 독일로 갈 계획을 세우고 있다는 소문이 지난 몇주간 돌았는데요, 이것에 대해 어떻게 생각하세요?


Yes, it’s also very good for players but Europe is too far away T.T This year I have many matches schedule so… maybe next year or as soon as possible I want play it.
선수들에게 아주 좋은 일이죠. 하지만 유럽은 너무 멀어요 T.T 올해는 대회 스케쥴이 너무 많고, 내년 아니면 최대한 빨리 저도 함께하고 싶어요.



So, if you would have to move to one of these countries, which would it be, and why?
그럼 만약 유럽의 한 나라에 가서 살아야 한다면 어떤 나라였으면 좋겠고, 그 이유는 무엇입니까?

hm...In fact…wc3 is not as famous than sc in Korea, but China and Europe ? There is a SC scene? fuh… this is why WC3 players want to play in China and Europe’s. So, if I would also have the chance to go there, I would do it -.-
흠... 사실 한국에서 워크래프트 3은 스타크래프트에 비해 별로 인기가 없어요. 하지만 중국이나 유럽에서 스타는 워크에 상대가 안되죠. 이게 워크 선수들이 중국이나 영국에서 게임하고 싶어하는 이유에요. 그래서 제게 외국에 갈 기회가 주어진다면 그렇게 할거에요 -.-

Which team league do you prefer? NGL One or WC3L?
NGL One과 WC3L 두 팀리그 중에 어느 것이 더 좋으세요?

Team leagues are more important than solo leagues imo, so WC3L and NGL are more important leagues to play in. But I would say WC3L is better. NGL is also good but wc3l has a longer history than NGL and also MYM's staff likes wc3l more :P (maybe its making now MYM , )
제 생각에 팀리그는 개인리그보다 더 중요해요. 그래서 WC3L과 NGL은 아주 중요한 대회죠. 그 중에 WC3L이 더 나은 것 같아요. NGL도 좋지만 WC3L이 더 오래되었고 MYM 스태프들이 WC3L을 더 좋아해요 :P (아마 그게 지금의 MYM을 만든 것 같아요)

If you could invent a new league format, what would you do to create the perfect league and where would it be placed? Online or offline (if offline, in which country/city)?
만약 당신이 새 리그를 만든다면, 완벽한 리그가 되게 하기 위해 무엇을 할 건가요? 그리고 온라인 리그로 할건가요, 아니면 오프라인으로 할건가요? (오프라인이라면 어느 나라/도시에서?)

Offline, hm.... China, Beijing. System would be like WC3L and all of the wc3 teams play it then… OR: like 20 players from Europe, 20 players from China, 20 players from Korea and 20 players from USA, then they would fight! 20:20:20:20 XD like in the NGL!
오프라인으로 중국 베이징에서 할거에요. WC3L의 시스템으로 하고 모든 워크래프트 팀이 참가하게 할거에요. 아니면 - 유럽에서 선수 20명, 중국에서 20명, 한국에서 20명, 미국에서 20명을 뽑아서 서로 붙는거에요! NGL에서처럼 20:20:20:20! XD

Which country would you call the strongest in Asia and in Europe?
아시아와 유럽에서 가장 강한 나라를 꼽는다면 어느 나라인가요?

Asia = Korea, Europe = Sweden
아시아에서는 한국, 유럽에서는 스웨덴.



And which country would win this clan war?

Warcraft III


Now let’s come to some Warcraft III related questions: Which race do you see as the strongest race, as there is still a big “imba discussion” running in the community.
이제 워크래프트 3에 관련된 질문을 할께요: 어느 종족이 제일 강하다고 생각하세요? 워크 커뮤니티에서는 아직까지도 밸런스에 관한 이야기가 많은데요.


Hm… I don’t think the race is the main reason to how to league. It’s just the player's skill that decides if a player is good or not, even when he plays vs. a special race he will be good. Same for if he plays bad, he will be bad like this in general. There are no race advantages.
흠... 승패를 결정하는건 종족이 아니라고 생각해요. 자신이 강한 특정 종족과 싸운다 해도 플레이어의 실력이 승패를 결정해요. 실력이 안좋다면 언제나 지겠죠. 종족에 따른 이점 같은건 없어요.

Why did you choose Undead as your first race?
왜 언데드를 선택하셨습니까?

Hm… when I started to play the game I just knew about the units and stats. I always chose speed and elf and undead looked to be the fastest in my eyes. Then I saw "ghoul frenzy" and they’re really faster than other units. So I chose Undead^^.
흠... 워크를 처음 시작했을때 전 유닛과 전략에 대해서만 알고 잇었어요. 저는 게임을 할때 언제나 민첩한 녀석들을 고르고, 나엘과 언데드가 빨라 보였어요. 그러다가 "프렌지 구울"을 봤고 그 놈들은 아른 어떤 유닛보다 빠르더라구요. 그래서 언데드를 골랐죠^^



When did you decide to play a second race, as you are very well with playing the Orc race? You can’t really call them being fast units ;)
오크를 아주 잘하시는 걸로 아는데, 어느 때 투잡을 하시나요? 오크는 별로 빠르다고 할수는 없을텐데요 ;)

You forgot the Speed Scroll ;) hm... It’s just the fact that I need to play orc on some maps, like on LT or MS 2.4. Additionally I need to play orc at 2on2 so ;)
스피드 스크롤을 잊으셨군요 ;) 흠... 로스트템플과 같은 맵에서 오크를 해요. 2:2에서도 오크를 해야하죠 ;)

Do you invent strategies on your own or do you copy them from other players?
자신만의 전략을 개발하시나요, 아니면 다른 선수의 전략을 배워오나요?


Some of them are mine, some of them I copied. But now my styles get copied by many undeads, but remember that I already show my own strategies alot of the time.
어떤 건 제가 만든거고, 어떤 건 배우죠. 하지만 지금은 다른 언데드들이 제 전략을 배워요. 제가 저만의 전략을 많이 보여주었다는걸 잊지마세요.



When you are watching the replays after your games, you use x8 speed. What are you looking at, as it could be hard to watch for micro with that speed.
한 게임을 하고 나서 8배속으로 리플레이를 보시는데 그 속도로는 마이크로 컨트롤을 보기가 힘들지 않나요? 무엇을 보시는 건가요?


I just see what he doing and what my mistakes were. I also see what my timing was like, so I need fast speed because I already played the game, so I know what’s happening XD (moon also uses x8)
상대가 무엇을 했고 제 실수가 뭐였는지만 보는거에요. 그리고 제 타이밍이 어땠나를 보죠. 이미 그 경기를 했기 때문에 어떤 일이 있었는지는 알아서 스피드를 빠르게 해요 XD (장재호도 8배속을 사용해요)

How and how often do you practice your skills?
어떻게, 얼마나 자주 연습을 하세요?

Just playing the game, that's all. Well, sometimes thinking about the game.

Did you play the campaigns before? And are you fascinated by the story that is told there, or did you just play it to get to know the races?

No, I just played the “real game”, so no campaign.

One of your opponents will be 4K^Grubby, who showed some weak performances in the last few week, except the last NGL One match, and also is a kind of your special rival. Do you think it’s just a phase and he will regain his old shape or will he never comeback?
저번 NGL One만 빼면 아주 부진한 모습을 보이는 4K.Grubby가 상대 중의 하나인데, 그의 부진이 일시적인 것이고 곧 그의 강력함을 되찾을거라고 생각하세요?

I guess he will be back, just as Moon came back.

4Kings announced their new manager triMble. What do you think about this addition? Is triMble the right person for this job?
4Kings는 triMble을 새 매니저로 영입했는데요, 그것에 대해 어떻게 생각하세요? triMble은 그 자리에 적합한가요?

I don’t know much about him and I also don’t care about him.
triMble에 대해 잘 모릅니다. 신경쓰고 있지도 않구요.

With making the step from being a hobby gamer to become a professional one, did you had to give up studying or any real life jobs? Do you feel sad while thinking of it?
취미로 게임을 하다가 프로게이머의 길을 선택하면서 학업이나 실제의 생활을 포기해야만 했나요? 그것에 대해 생각하면 슬픈가요?

Hm, yes I did give up many things, like meeting friends, love and study XD now, hm… yes also now hehe. I really like my job, I wanna be like BOXER. So I also want to play until I’m 30 years of age, even over 30 years ofage if I can.

What do you do with all the money you were able to gain and what you will gain in the future?
지금까지 벌었던 돈과 앞으로 벌 돈을 어떻게 쓸 계획인가요?

Now is now. I don’t think about future and don’t care. I just want to focus at what's important NOW. NOW is more important than other things, it’s my motto.

Will eSports developed in the direction to make it professional even in management, will eSports ever get the same competition as soccer?

What will you do afterwards? Can you imagine being an organiser for Warcraft teams or would you swap to another RTS game like Starcraft 2?

Besides his team mates around world class players like JaeHo "Moon" Jang or Jung-Ki "Susiria" Oh, he is playing a major role for his team MeetYourMakers in competition like WC3L and NGL One.
